If we haven't met before, my name is Stacy and I am a family and lifestyle photographer. I have always loved taking photos of my friends and family. In high school I constantly had my film camera in tow (hello, high school dances!), and in university that evolved to a variety of point-and-shoot digital cameras. I'm definitely not bragging about the quality of these photos - but it was clear early on that I enjoyed capturing memories and I could spend hours looking through photo albums.
It wasn't until I was on maternity leave with my firstborn that I decided it was time I mastered my DSLR camera and start shooting in manual. Once I had completed a few courses and had a handle on manual mode, I was hooked and have been taking pictures non-stop since. After having a second child and choosing to stay home full-time with our kids, I decided to take a leap and pursue my passion professionally.
My goal is to take a healthy balance of posed portrait photos, as well as the in-between, candid moments. In my experience, the unposed pictures often best capture your personality or your family's unique dynamic.
It is truly a dream come true to capture the beautiful moments of others' lives. If you're anything like me, looking back on photos has this magical ability to unlock emotions and memories that we may otherwise forget.
