How do we decide on a location?
What is "natural light" photography?
What do we wear to the photoshoot?
What if I have a toddler who won't sit still for photos?
How do I pay for the session?
When will we receive our photos?
This is ultimately up to you, but I am happy to provide some suggestions if you don't have somewhere in mind! Keep in mind, some locations charge a fee in order to use their space for a photoshoot (eg. many apple orchards, tree farms, and indoor studios). Some great free alternatives are public parks, beaches, and your own home/property.
Natural light photography does not employ any artificial light (eg. a flash) and solely uses the sun as a light source. This is important to note because when choosing a photoshoot location we will need to consider the time of day and how much light is available.
You should choose clothing that you feel comfortable in, so it's always a good idea to try on outfits ahead of time. I think coordinated colour schemes look great without being too "matchy-matchy" (eg. all neutrals or jewel tones). Layers or accessories like hats are also a great idea because simply removing them halfway through the shoot can create a whole new look. Pinterest is an excellent resource for outfit ideas and you can search based on the season.
Don't stress about this for a second! I have two young kids at home that I am very used to chasing around for photos. I am super patient and have no problem working with children!
Payment is due in full at the time of the photoshoot. You can pay with cash or via e-transfer.
Depending on the session type, you can expect to receive your edited high resolution photos 1-3 weeks after the photoshoot. You will be sent an email with a link and password to access your private online gallery (Pixieset).
